STRONG SHOULDERS

Awestruck: Contemplate God's Wonder and Overcome Worry - Day 21

Before Moses took his final breath, he pronounced a prophetic blessing on each of the tribes of Israel. His words to Benjamin painted a picture of how a loving father might carry his beloved son: “Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.” (Deuteronomy 33:12)

Friend, our Heavenly Father carries us on His strong shoulders. We need not fear that we will stumble into the pit of despair and find ourselves completely unable to climb out and find level ground. The Upholder of our life reaches down and swoops us up and places us securely in His care. We can find total rest as we fully trust the Almighty today.

We don’t need to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders because God has promised to do all the heavy lifting on our behalf. The Upholder of our life supports us when we face opposition and sustains by providing all the supernatural resources we need to not only survive, but to truly thrive.

Let God shoulder the load you cannot find the strength to lift. Look up to heaven and ask for His help. He will hold you up and supply what you are lacking.
