Our pastor stood at the pulpit and made a passionate appeal for volunteers to serve in children’s ministry. Apparently, they had more children attending than the workers available, and the previous Sunday, they had actually turned families away from the nursery. His hope was that someone in the congregation would say “sign me up” and step up to serve.
