PSALMS - Day 6

When my husband stopped working from home, he set up security cameras on the exterior of our home that I can view from my fancy phone. If I view anything suspicious, I can press a button that sounds a loud alarm and summons the police to our property. In addition, I can call my man and ask him to respond to a stranger at the door by using the microphone feature on the camera at our front door. I keep the system armed at all times, and I feel totally secure and protected even though my husband is not physically present in our home.

The Psalmist indicates that he was “under pursuit” from evil adversaries, but he reminds himself he has no reason to fear because His faithful Defender will guard him from the attack and preserve his life. All around him, chaos roars. . . but within his heart, this faith-filled man rests on the promises of God and finds reason to praise. God’s trustworthy protection provides an unshakeable peace that the schemes of the enemy cannot penetrate.

Friend, the God of Restoration will never leave you vulnerable to the complete destruction at the hands of the enemy. His love will encircle you with strength and shield you from devastation. You can trust that His constant care will safeguard you and keep you secure. Let the power of His Word build up the wall of your defenses as you determine to trust Him.
