Battlefield Prayers: Pray Big for 30 Days and Fight for Breakthrough - Day 11
I was in awe of her compassion. The nurse stood at the bedside of an angry patient and spoke to him with a quiet assurance and pleasant demeanor that somehow touched his hard heart and calmed him down. The toxic air that had filled the room had been cleared, and suddenly everything seemed more manageable.
Her words and her wisdom had transformed the environment and restored order. A healer always touches a life and makes a significant impact.
Healing is more than just restoring the body. Our souls can be weighed down by sin and sorrow and need mending. We limp along wounded and carrying our grief, disappointment, conflict, and adversity. The endless heartbreak in this world saturated by sin seems unbearable.
But God sees our distress. He cares. His steps into our pain and misery and brings His grace and comfort. We may feel crushed and beyond repair, but He speaks with quiet assurance over our lives and restores our souls.
Today, we can rejoice because God repairs broken hearts. He will mend all the pieces we surrender to Him and make us strong once again. Hallelujah!
