“. . . I am A to Z, the First and the Final, Beginning and Conclusion.” Revelation 22:13, MSG
When I stop to think about all the things I cannot control my soul feels crushed by worry. I don’t think I have what it takes to survive all the stress, and my future seems so uncertain and scary. I wish I could re-train my brain to reframe my thinking so that I rest in God’s care instead of continuing to wrestle with my anxiety.
Instead of focusing on the magnitude of my problems, I want to rejoice in the magnificence of my Almighty God. Right now, He is seated on an unshakable throne in heaven, and He reigns over all that concerns me. I don’t need to fear because the One who is Faithful and True will never fail to fight for me.
Friend, perhaps you have tossed and turned in bed as you considered with apprehension a seemingly irreparable relationship or a complicated situation you have no idea how to fix. Here’s a thought to consider: You and I can invite the God of Peace to fill our minds with His presence instead of spending all our time consumed by our heartache.
Our God is the Alpha and the Omega, the A to Z. He existed before everything, and He will endure beyond every little thing. Our omnipotent God oversees all the universe and directs every detail of our lives. Nothing stands outside His sovereign control.
The Almighty remains a firm foundation under our feet, and we need not fear even when our world seems to be falling apart. If we turn our gaze upward and consider His infinite perfection, our worry will be replaced by wonder. God’s glory will fill our weary hearts and leave us awestruck.
I am looking forward to this study. This chapter of my life could be raveling out of control; however, as I have been keeping my focus and hope on Jesus, His way, and allow the Holy Spirit to be my guide, each day includes much to be thankful for God.
