INNOCENCE

PSALMS - Day 6

The Innocence Project is a non-profit legal organization that uses DNA evidence to help exonerate people wrongly convicted of a crime. The justice system has failed these individuals, and they have remained unjustly imprisoned for decades. Sadly, when we put our faith in man, we are not guaranteed justice.

The Psalmist fully understands this negligence. He has been unfairly accused and is facing a heap of trouble, so he cries out to God to help clear his name. Only the God of vindication can make things right.

You and I can rest in the care of our faithful Judge today. The enemy of our souls may try to accuse us and cover us with shame, but we have placed our trust in God’s steadfast love. His mercy never fails.

Friend, Jesus has paid the debt of our sin and clothed us in His righteousness. We have been fully redeemed and set free from bondage to sin. Our innocence rests on the firm foundation of God’s faithfulness.
