I was watching as Jayson Tatum celebrated winning his first NBA finals. After seven seasons of dealing with public criticism and doubt from naysayers, he stood victorious. “What will they say about me now?” he asked with triumph on his face. His joy fulfilled, this man stood with new-found peace.   

Victory is sweet, but on earth the accolades are short …
