IT'S POSSIBLE
Seeker: Saying No to My Way & Yes to Following Jesus (30 Days in Matthew) - Day 21
During Bible times, riches were viewed as a sign of God’s favor. This is why the disciples were floored when Jesus said it was not easy for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. If those who were highly favored on earth would not find their way to heaven, then who on earth would?
Well, the answer is clear: Apart from Christ, no one will enter heaven. Our salvation is not earned based on our success here on earth. We can do all the right things at the right time, but we will never be righteous. We still need a Savior.
Thankfully, we have a good God who delights in doing the impossible. He forgives those who turn to Him with repentant hearts. Our deliverance is a direct result of our surrender. When we stop trusting in the wealth of this world and our own works, then we can receive the supernatural gift of salvation.
Our trust in Christ makes the inconceivable possible.
