GIVE THANKS

Gratitude Challenge: Day 1

God is faithful in character and loving in His response to us. His Word breathes life and healing into our hearts. We are blessed beyond measure because we know God, and He is intimately involved in our lives. His mercy toward us is unending. Focusing on who God is helps us to have hearts full of gratitude.

If you are feeling weighed down by the burdens of life, slow down for a few minutes today and think about all the ways God has shown up strong for you. Make a list of the beautiful things God has birthed in your life since you gave your heart to Him. He’s delivered us from sin and death and that alone is cause for great thanksgiving today. God’s restoration work in our lives is not completed. Greater things are yet to come.

Lord, thank You for loving us so sacrificially and faithfully. Thank You for setting us free and healing us with the power of Your Word. We want to live lives that say “Thank You” in thought, word, and action. Amen

I apparently got my dates a little confused, and our next study actually starts in one week on Monday, November 25th. (Details about our next study will be coming in a separate post on Monday morning.) We only have a one week break between studies this time instead of two.

So, this week we will do the first 5 days of the 10-dayGratitude Challenge. . . Next week, I will just add last 5 days of the challenge to the bottom of the day’s devotional as a bonus for you.
