Battlefield Prayers: Pray Big for 30 Days and Fight for Breakthrough - Day 21
Recently, I was watching a documentary about an NBA athlete who shared how the affirming words of his middle school coach had influenced his perception of himself and helped change his outlook regarding his future. I thought about how words can have an impact on our soul—but only if we receive the message communicated and internalize the truth.
Jesus is the Word of God embodied in the flesh. He came to speak life and peace over us. When we study and obey His commands, our thoughts, feelings, and motivations are transformed by the indwelling power of His Spirit. His wisdom penetrates our souls and helps us discern between right and wrong. The mind of Christ begins to control how we respond.
As we mediate on God’s Word and yield to His will, we experience a metamorphosis in our lives that makes us distinctly different from the world. God perfectly equips us for ministry to share His message. He sends us forth with His Truth to make an eternal difference in this sin-saturated world.
PRAY BIG: Lord, send forth Your Word to transform us. Amen.
