REST EASY: LIVE FULLY LOVED BY GOD WITH NOTHING TO FEAR (20 DAYS IN RUTH) - DAY 1
Yvonne and her hubby were traveling in a Suburban hauling a trailer across the Midwest when they ended up stranded on the side of the road with a blown transmission. With only black asphalt in sight, they would need a driver to come to their rescue and give them a ride to a mechanic. A woman noted their distress and pulled over to the side of the road. Yvonne climbed in her passenger seat and noted that the driver had a trustworthy face. They chatted amiably on the way to the Chevrolet dealer in the nearby town, but once she arrived, the stranded driver had chills run down her spine after she turned around to speak to the mechanic and discovered her angelic aid had suddenly disappeared.
To receive supernatural intervention, we must first be open to accept God’s aid with humility. Naomi had finally come to an end of trying to solve her own problems. Here we see that she “heard,” and she determined to “return.” The action of turning away from Moab to walk back toward her homeland displayed her repentance and created the atmosphere for a providential reversal of her circumstances.
You and I belong to a benevolent Heavenly Father who delights in blessing His children. Jehovah Jireh never lacks what you need, and His generosity knows no limits. His faithfulness has no expiration date. Naomi’s family had wandered away ten years earlier, but the kindness of God had not faltered. He was simply waiting for her to surrender.
If life has left you feeling empty or stranded, you simply need to listen to the Word of the Lord and turn toward Him for aid. Trust He will provide everything you need. His unfailing love will never leave you.
